In patients with strabismus the eyes are looking at different directions.
Strabismus maybe present from childhood if it was never corrected or was corrected but got worse again.
It maybe also due to palsy of an intraocular muscle (paralytic strabismus) or some systemic disease such as thyroid eye disease, myasthenia etc.
Strabismus in adults can be treated conservatively, surgically or with the use of Botulinum toxin.
